The Secure Digital Scan Card 3E (SDSC 3E), from Socket Communications turns any Palm PDA or Pocket PC 2003 device with an SDIO slot into a mobile barcode scanner. This tiny barcode scanner improves productivity and eliminates errors for all mobile professionals performing extensive data entry tasks.

The SDSC 3E needs no external power supply; it utilizes the battery of the host device, allowing hours of operation. The SDSC 3E includes SocketScan software to add Prefix and/or Suffix functions to further eliminate manual keystrokes and assign beep tone for successful scan notification.

    Many Hand Held Scanners include an auto sensing stand and the few that donīt can be purchased separately. The auto sensing stand comes in handy when you want to scan items hands free. If most of your scanning needs to be done hands free you may want to look into an omnidirectional scanner.
