| I prefer the Zebra 2824 and 2844 series barcode printers. There are many interface options available in this series to satisfy every customer. Both the 2824 and 2844 can be purchased in either Direct Thermal or Thermal Transfer option; providing labels that will last for years and even in harsh environments (thermal transfer) or retail labels that only need to be around up to 6 months (direct thermal). The difference between the 2824 and 2844 is the size of labels they can print. The 2844 with a maximum print width of 4.09" is great for the customer that needs to print large labels and/or shipping labels, and starting at $339.00 it is still a great value. The 2824 with a maximum print width of 2.2" works great for retail locations who need smaller labels and starting at $232.00 it is a low cost barcode printing solution. |

| For customers who want a wireless scanner, we think the XI3000BT is the best in its class. With Bluetooth class 1, the XI3000BT has a line of sight range of about 150 feet, whereas most other wireless bluetooth scanners use class 2 which has about a 70 foot line of sight range. Also the XI3000BT includes the cradle, cables and an extra battery that charges in the cradle. At $419 for USB it is the obvious choice. The XI3000BT is a CCD Image scanner that has no moving parts which makes it very rugged. It can go into auto sensing mode for hands free operation and has a 2 year warranty. |

| I like the LS2208 because it is a compact gun style laser scanner, probably the best selling scanner on the market. Also, priced at $135 including cables and the auto sensing stand, the black USB model is a good choice for customers on a budget. The LS2208 also has a 5 year warranty, so you know that it will continue to work well into the future. |

This scanner has great combination of the being rugged and has the durability of a Symbol or POS-X scanner combined with the improved laser scan engine that can do an amazing 100 scans per second. This Scanner is little more expensive, but you get what you pay for. |

| The MiniWedge is the best selling card reader on the market. The reasons being it has various interface options including USB, RS-232, Keyboard Wedge and even TTL. It can be purchased in different track reading configurations; although I recommend the 3-track USB to insure it will read any card and is easily configured. The MiniWedge also has a small footprint that is only slightly longer then a credit card. It can also be mounted either with the self-mounting adhesive strips or by using the embedded threaded mounting hardware.
