The Star SP200 Series of printer have built-in Verifone 200 emulation, making them ideal for credit authorization terminals (CAT) and data logging systems. The optional CAT cover provides the SP200 Series an ergonomic receipt printer and CAT package. The SP212 and SP242 print in single color mode, while the SP216 and SP246 print two colors, making the latter ideal for highlighting features on a receipt.

The Star SP200 has been Discontinued. It has been replaced by the SP500 and SP700 Models.
