The Xr500 thermal printer from POS-X features near-silent, ink-free printing and optimal speed for processing point of sale transactions. Available in a variety of interface options: USB, Ethernet, Serial, Parallel, and even Wireless, the Xr500 offers instant compatibility with virtually any point of sale system.

The Xr500 has been Discontinued. It is replaced by the Xr510 Series.

    Thermal printers apply heat to heat sensitive paper while impact printers use ink ribbons and plain receipt paper. Thermal printers tend to be much quieter and quicker than impact printers but their receipt paper can be affected by high heat and high humidity.
