Magnetic Card Readers
A magnetic card reader, also referred to as magnetic stripe reader (MSR), connects to the POS system via a USB, PS/2 or serial interface, reading and transferring the customers´ credit card data to the computer for transaction processing. The magnetic stripe on the back of a bank, gift, or credit card features two or three programmable tracks to store data.
